My paintings are responses to the extraordinary reverence one experiences in the presence of nature. 

Painter and Printmaker, largely self-taught, working with Oils, Watercolor and Monoprint. I invite you to stand in my atmosphere.

Whether working on an abstract landscape, the details of an intricate leaf, or on a fantastical tree of life, I get to be in a place of beauty.

My paintings explore real and imagined subjects and often express states of fragility, imbalance and the temporary nature of things. 

Inspired by Air Water and the Light of the East End, I find moments that I need to interpret and convey in a personal way.

Capturing a moment of movement and color using the paint pouring method is fun and challenging! It’s considered Abstract Realism.

Years ago I discovered watercolor and now I get to paint with a dedicated group of watercolor artists every week.

Through abstraction, my watercolors capture the ephemeral interplay of light and space, allowing color and form to breathe and unfold organically.

I work in oils and pastels. A poem by Wallace Stegner, "A Study of Two Pears" inspired me to make the pear my favorite subject.
